AIMS AND ACTIVITIES

King Henry VIII School Parents’ Association is open to all parents of children at the school. New members or input of ideas are always welcome. Members work with the school, to support school events. The PA also organises its own events for fund raising, such as the Christmas Fayre and a nearly new uniform sale. The Christmas Fayre raised around £4,500 this year. The PA also runs social events, such as the May Ball.

Funds raised are spent on items benefiting the school, which might not otherwise be purchased by the school. These have included a baritone saxophone, a video mixer, a laser speed gun for the games department, and a sheltered outdoor meeting area.

The Parents’ Association is delighted that membership of the 200 Club is steadily increasing. Every month prizes totalling £100 have been paid out to the lucky winners. The prizes are: 1st prize £50, 2nd prize £25, 3rd prize £15 and 4th prize £10.

WE NEED TO INCREASE THE MEMBERSHIP
