Netball

Netball is a popular and successful sport at King Henry VIII School. At least two teams are managed in all year groups, with a large number of girls participating in lunchtime practices. Matches are played against local schools throughout the week and on Saturday mornings against schools further afield.

The School is regularly represented at county and regional levels. A number of girls gain individual county selection in several age groups. During the past three years, several pupils have been selected for England training camps and one pupil was selected to play for England in the U17 and U19 age groups.  The Senior netball squad enjoyed a very successful tour to Gibraltar in Summer 2008.
